Thanks to our cooperation with the Association of Local Authorities, which we started to develop in the summer of this year, we were invited as a guest to present the PROTUR micro-hydro resource at an exit meeting of the Working Group on Environment and Agriculture and the Working Group on Energy of the Association of Local Authorities. The meeting was held in the beautiful historic town of Trebon on 25 – 26 October 2023. PROTUR and ŽĎAS energy projects in general aroused great interest among the participants, and topics such as municipal energy, circular economy and the context of the new LEX RES II law sparked several hours of discussion, where we debated with mayors and representatives of various municipalities from all over the Czech Republic and with MEP Stanislav Polcak, who is the chair of the Energy Working Group, about the opportunities that our energy division brings and offers. In addition to the hydropower potential of individual sites and the possible use of PROTUR in the municipal energy sector, we also discussed the disposal and gasification of municipal waste and the energy independence of municipalities and towns. We are pleased with the cooperation with this association, the great interest of individual municipalities and we look forward to future joint projects.
